Welcome to Twelve Stones Fellowship. We are a local Home Fellowship located in Middlebury Center, Tioga County, PA. We meet for Sabbath (Saturday) at 11:00 AM. You are more than welcome to contact us about visiting us.
Our desire is to help people understand the fullness of the Bible. And to experience the incredible blessing and freedom that comes from following His Commandments. Many of us have been taught to reject the instructions of our Creator and simply follow our hearts to know what is right and wrong. However, the Bible tells us in Proverbs 28:26 “He who trusts in his own heart is a fool”. According to Psalms 18:30 “the word of God is pure”, so for us to understand what is pure and good, we must use the Bible.
We believe that the whole Bible is true and applicable to those who are His people. From Genesis to Revelation there is a constant theme…”Many are called, but few are chosen”. We need to remember “Narrow is the way, which leadeth unto to life”.
We believe that Faith and the Law do not contradict. That it is not one or the other, but two separate things as Paul states in Galatians 3:12 “But the Law has nothing to do with faith. Instead, “The person who keeps the commandments will have life in them.'” Which is a clear statement referencing Deuteronomy 32:46-47. “Take to heart my entire testimony against you today. Command your children to observe carefully every word of this Law, (47) because they’re not just empty words for you—they are your very life”. A person is justified by faith, not the actions of the law. However, “Do we, then, abolish the Law by this faith? Of course not! Instead, we uphold the Law.” We love our Heavenly Father and we demonstrate this love as we are told to by John…”We keep his commandments, and his commandments are not difficult”.
Obedience to His Commandments brings life, freedom and blessing. Faith in the Messiah brings justification and salvation. The two are separate but both work together to bring completeness and fullness to our lives. The Messiah Himself tells us that there will be some that think what they are doing is the correct way. However they missed one very important detail… Mat 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. (22) Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works? (23) And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness!”
